Nau mai te ao!  A ngā rā tata nei ka whakarewa tēnei kaupapa te Kōwhiringa Pōti Māori huri noa i Aotearoa. Waihoki me mahi tahi te Kaitiaki Take Kōwhiri ki ngā roopu rangatira, ko koutou tēnā. Me whakatairanga i ngā kōrero, i ngā rauemi nei kia whakakikī ngā kete hei oranga mō te iwi. Mauri tū, mauri ora.

The 2018 Māori Electoral Option will be held from Tuesday 3 April until Thursday 2 August. This is when  Māori voters can choose whether to be on the Māori or the General Roll.

It's an important choice for anyone of Māori descent. It will determine which roll type Māori voters will be on for the next two general elections. The results of the Māori Electoral Option, together with the results of the 2018 Census, will be used to determine the number and boundaries of General and Māori Electorates for the 2020 and 2023 elections.
