The early settlers passion for good solid timber to build their churches, homesteads, warehouses and woolsheds is the reason they went for the Butt Log of the tree. If you are wondering what the Butt Log is, well I’ll tell you. It is the first log up from the stump, it is strong and the grain is often beautifully figured. Figured timber or "fiddleback" and burrs were their choice for the furniture of the time.

Combining the classics with modern living is what we’re on about. Our furniture is made from timber recovered from old buildings, the beauty and ambience, of the Rimu or Kauri used in pieces for your stereo, or your collection, or things of sentimental value is a real complement. The only thing is some of the stuff is pretty heavy.

Old English Mansion Worth $2 Million dollars!

When our client bought the place it was in a pretty sad state. Now! Well, she got us to take out a wall install Rimu bi-folds in the opening making a spacious kitchen dining area. We placed a heart Rimu T&G floor some lead light windows along with 2 sets of french doors. This created a spacious living area complete with dado Rimu panelled walls, and a new kitchen with wood benchtops. She built in 2 more bathrooms. So we will be pleased to do up your place.
