Arohaina means "love in action" or "compassion" and these co-ordinators work with volunteers, helping the older population of the Tairawhiti District.

Regular Weekly Activities

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday (except 1st Thurs. of month)

Fun & Friendship 9.30am

Gentle excersises, bowls, cards, scrabble, rummicub, chatting etc. Morning tea and lunch included. Nau mai, Haere mai. $15

Wednesday Drop in Group:

10.00am Morning tea Visiting Speakers: $3

Are the backbone of our organisation and we appreciate the vital service they provide.

Centre Hosts/hostesses

Those who enjoy food preparation and serving are a valuable asset to the centre.

 Centre Assistants

Those who enjoy befriending and socialising with people who attend the centre.

 Home Vistors

Those who enjoy visiting an older person in their own home on a regular basis.

We provide training and support for all our volunteers.
